 Alkaline AA cells - R.P.
I buy the Duracell Industrial ones in bulk from Amazon. Cheap as chips (well maybe not as Poundland) they remind me of the military spec ones we used in the Royal Observer Corps - They work well and last well. I was a little peeved that one of them had leaked in my Petzl headtorch and stopped it working (I managed to clean the terminals). To me a battery should be able to sit in a device and not corrupt it - I last used the headtorch on March 13 walking back from the pub !
