Your original post came across as both sarcastic and passive-aggressive, and then instead of offering an explanation - or even an apology - you simply launched into another. You must appreciate that the written word (especially online) can come across very differently to speech, which a quick and simple apology could have fixed instantly.
Where do you draw the line between making personal insults and then blaming someone for being "thin-skinned" with no sense of humour, and re-reading something and considering how it could actually be fairly offensive. I can't even say that I'm p****d off thanks to the nursery school swear filter here.
And no, I don't wear polo shirts with the collar turned up... ;-)
