Getting payment for selling stuff - bathtub tom
I'm having a bit of a clear out and advertised some stuff on facebook marketplace, thinking it would only interest local folk. The '70s Princess tow bar went to a guy in Leicester (who wanted a tow bar for his '70s Princess) and arranged collection. A guy in Montgomery wants the WASO petrol cap and suggested paypal. I've only ever used it for buying off ebay. How secure is it if I'm selling?

Ive seen examples of Paypal being very Buyer focused. Which leaves genuine Sellers exposed.
But if its not a big amount and you are prepared to take a hit its not a big deal/
I would take plenty of photographs and mark in some way to help you should someone turn a bit funny.

I agree, ebay always sides with aby buyer that makes a claim - as part of any price negotiations, you could always ask the buyer to send payment as a gift so that :
a) you don't acrue fees
b) they can't make any claim

That doesn't seem ethical.
