I believe they’ve been the world’s biggest manufacturer of EV’s for a little while, when you also consider their bus and truck production.
But EV has come to mean just cars in many eyes.

I think they sell a good number of ev delivery trucks under 7.5t, they've big plans for EV wagons as well. I think the chinese gov are planning GW chargers for them throughout the country.

They’re big players in bus world.
Manchester’s Bee Network extensively uses BYD platforms with Alexander Dennis bodies installed in the UK.
I’m sure other services are similar.

Last summer I was using the M1 a lot around Junction 10 (Luton Airport) and saw many buses belonging to Flixbus in bright green, which displayed the name of the manufacturer, Yutong, front and rear.
Apparently Yutong is the world's largest manufacturer of buses and coaches by sales volume, many of which are electric.
I had never heard of them (or seen them) before and curiosity prompted some research. They are well established. Apparently the Yutong TCe12, sold as the Yutong ICe12 in continental Europe, is a BEV which has been manufactured since 2017.
