 Glasgow Fire - Bobby

Not sure how much coverage this is getting down south but there was a horrendous fire in Glasgow on Sunday, building adjacent to Central Station. Thankfully it would appear that miraculously that the station itself may have survived in tact. It is a wonderful station with a huge glass roof and most of us feared the worst. No trains to the main level will be running this week which is obviously causing chaos for travellers.

Lots of questions to be answered about the fire itself. It would appear to have started in a vape shop and at one point in the afternoon seem to have been contained there but for whatever reason it has spread and as you can see from the images, has had horrendous consequences. Thankfully no one injured though.

However lots of questions being asked about the storage of vapes and batteries and of course, it would appear that the shop was a temporary sub let, with no licence, no insurance etc etc

There were many businesses in the floors above, salons, beauty places, even a guy who made wigs for the stars and it would appear from the Go Fund Me's that few of them thought to have contents insurance.....

I do hope they were insured.

I read it was a conglomeration of small businesses, mostly uninsured. It appears the vape shop where the fire started wasn't!

An insurance payout for the Vape shop?

This might allow them to pay the £10,000 they owe Glasgow City Council for their former premises
