Probably been asked many times on here.
Any recommends for an on-line glasses supplier ? I have my prescription clutched in my grubby little fist and thought I'd give it a try !

I've used this lot www.firmoo.co.uk/ who were super cheap and fairly quick.
I also got a couple of free pairs for doing a TikTok of opening the packaging or something similar (my daughter did it for herself initially, over and over, and paid for 2 but ended up with 6 pairs!).
I did have one useless pair which they took back no problem but credit note not refund.
Having said that I didn't use them subsequently. Their range for "large" heads wasn't great, and the sizing (particularly arm length) was a bit suspect.
So back to Asda for 2 pairs of photochromatic varifocals for £320ish IIRC.

To be honest Specsavers are so cheap I wouldn’t bother with the hassle of online. I often need my glasses fit adjusted or tightened - not so easy if you bought them online.

My idea was to get a cheaper pair on-line for the garage and workshop and a better pair for best which I will get from the opticians who did the eye test last week, a local shop, one of 4 in the village. Never had a decent pair from one of the big multiples. Just 2 branches with this outfit and been here 15 yrs.
My original man, 50 yrs ago, had one shop and was a personal friend. Dead a long time now, his practice was destroyed in the Moss Side riots in about 1981. He drove to the shop, rescued the old couple in the flat above and took them home to stay safe. Took some bottle with all that going on !

Yeah, as a glasses wearer since I was about 8 or 9, I have stayed with the same local independent optician since then Even though through work I can get vouchers for specsavers, I dont bother and use the indie.
Strangely without thinking about it, its probably the only purchase I make that I never shop around, make comparisons etc.
