Perpetual motion, or what sort of idiot are you? - Tooslow
Two ads over to the right, one for "buy a magnet generator, never pay for electricity" and " run your car on water".

I thought this was a reputable web site? :-)

Talk about one born every minute!

..."buy a magnet generator, never pay for electricity"...

My ad would be: "Never pay for electricity - stuff the feeler gauges you no longer use up the back of the meter."

It is a reputable site! We have to accept carp adverts to keep the site free - I think!

Think yourself lucky, they're trying to pedal me shoes and handbags.

Are they looking on my webcam or something? :-)

I thought it was supposed to be: Think yourself lucky, they're trying to pedal my shoes and handbags.

The purpose of advertisements is to catch your attention, and they've caught yours! Look at the Freeview + advertisement on television and if you look closely you'll see that neither the television set nor the Freeview + box have any wires attached to them!

I see we've been getting a few mainstream adverts recently, Barclaycard and Sky, to re-advertise just two.

Means the site's progressing commercially, I would have thought.

Perhaps the advertisers have taken a look and shrewdly decided that such is the prevalvence of Luddites and science deniers on here that their adverts might actually be well targetted?

Nah. They've decided the site is full of people who are credulous and believe anything including England winning the World Cup and man made global warming. So an ideal target market...

Oh I don't know. There's a good discussion on string theory going on in the "Snow 2" thread.
