I have a pal who lives near Lurgan, and he says most people most of the time don't give the politics of Loyalism and Republicanism any thought at all, as you would expect. However I did visit Brownlow House, now the HQ of the local Orange Order (it has an interesting history unrelated to that). I talked with someone who had successfully argued for the discontinuation of 'marches' which he thought were a needless provocation in the Republican areas they went into. Although in general people presumably don't want sectarian violence, he got a lot of pushback and even threats from people who were unconcerned with, or perhaps even liked, the confrontational aspect of the marching.
