A slightly tentative thumbs up for LV= from me. Have both cars, house and travel with them.
Worth keeping an eye on things - on wife's car the premium is steadily creeping up but it does cover our two "kids" (in their 30's now, yikes) as named drivers with business use. They also didn't change the premium when notified one of them had had a no-fault write off. Aviva's Premium level cover was quite a lot cheaper but didn't have business cover for the kids.
LV= handled the aforementioned write off - never happened to us before so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I wasn't thrilled by the way it was handled. At first we were told the car was going to be reapired (which is what we wanted) then told, by answerphone meassge "the cheque's in the post". The value given started at £5K, then they admitted they'd done it wrong and changed to £5.5K which was bearable, but I thought £6K would have been fair.
We had someone who keenly wanted the car to repair it (damage was mostly easily replaced hatch door and front bumper) and they and their repairer were evasive about where the car was so it didn't happen.
