Anyway, once you have the pattern, it's a case of mute the sound, set an alarm if you wish, and pick up your book. Repeat.
You thus get one tv programme and about fifteen to twenty minutes of reading time per hour.
Your book must be something like diaries or anecdotes really. Pepys works well. Don't pick something like "The history of British Glue Manufacturing". You'll never put it down.
