I was asked to sign a waiver once by a Ford dealer when they'd found a drive-shaft fault they said was dangerous after I'd dropped a company lease car in on a Saturday morning, and they didn't have any other car I could take.
So I hired a car, from their convenient on-site car hire outlet. :) No idea who paid the bill, but it wasn't me!
