I always book with DYS using the ‘free cancellation’ and ‘Full to full fuel’ filters.
In all fairness to DYS I cba trying to change dates. I’d cancel and rebook....my repayment, made using my Revolut card, has without fail been made within 24/48 hours. And I’ve cancelled a lot of times to secure a cheaper price...it’s a 5 minute job in the pub.
I often book 8 weeks in advance, and if the price drop is sufficient to make it worth my while, make a new booking then cancel the original. Often one week before the rental dates, in low season, the base price was stupid cheap. They hope to make their money selling you their insurance and on charging for damage you didn’t spot on collection.
