Pugly the 208 GT was returned to OKCars at Alicante Friday....all went smoothly despite forgetting to leave my trekking poles with friends in Spain, finding them in the boot and no option but to leave them as a ‘present’ to the nice staff at the hire company.
I’m pretty sure they’re not allowed as hand baggage.
I got more smiles driving the 208 GT in 17 days than 12 months in my Focus Active Estate. Shame really as it ticks all the boxes....Henry handles brilliantly, is smooth, comfortable, eminently practical and being ex Ford Management has every option fitted....I wouldn’t be without a heated steering wheel, pano roof or head up display now. Suppose I’ve gotten old and far less likely to compromise on stuff I enjoy.
So the search for Henry’s replacement begins in earnest. It’s the wrong time of year to be buying a convertible, which being honest was only half serious when I gave my head a wobble.
And I’m going back to an auto box with paddles.
