Half a million people vaccinated in a week. A statement that half the population needs to be vaccinated. So that's 35 weeks at the current rate. (22nd August).
However, everybody seems of the opinion that the vaccination rate is likely to significantly increase. Also, it is believed likely that the vaccine will lower transmission rates and given that the vulnerable are being vaccinated first, then one would expect fatality and hospitalisation rates to fall also, both much earlier.

I have hope for impact from the vaccinations.
